Beginning life as a Sharp Practice mod and quickly evolving into its own thing (not unlike the Ship of Thesus or Trigger’s Broom), Packing Heat is not only my first full commercial wargame, but the first project of my independent press Standing Ready Games!
A Cruel Necessity: Sharp Practice in the English Civil War (2017-22)
This is an expansion for Sharp Practice, a black powder-era wargame by TooFatLardies. While the standard game covers 18th and 19th-Century Skirmishes, A Cruel Necessity includes statistics for pike-and-shot combat in the English Civil War. Not only are there lists for Royalist, Parliamentarian, and Trained Bands (local militia) forces, but it contains several new rules and flavour text to represent the difference in technology and tactics.
Originally part of the 2017 TooFatLardies Christmas Special, an updated version (dubbed “A Cruel Necessity: Reloaded”) was released in Lard Magazine 2022 with more balanced stats, more units for all sides, and the addition of a Scots Covenanter faction.

The Longest YoMp: Chain of Command in the Falklands Conflict (2019)
This is an expansion for TooFatLardies’ World War II game Chain of Command, providing players with the material to change their games’ setting from the Second World War to the Falklands Conflict in 1982. It contains complete lists for both the British and Argentine armies, from Argentine Commandos to British PARAs and the revered Nepalese Gurkhas, as well as new mechanics representing radios, cold climates, and night warfare to make this expansion truly unique to its setting.
